  Why we're drinking this
  Move over Riesling, there’s a new grape in town. Hello, Cabernet Franc! Lately, Ontario’s best wineries are proving their abilities to craft elegant, intriguing Cabernet Franc that is entirely characterful and unique. Some are big and brutish, others are delicate and perfumed. This one is decidedly the latter, reminiscent of a lighter expression along the lines of a Chinon from the Loire region of France. The Rosewood winery is really upping its game lately, and this flagship Cab Franc from their Origin line is a perfect example of what they do so well. You can taste the care and love.

  Tasting Note
  Did someone say perfumed? Wonderful, pretty aromas burst from the glass, immediately transporting you to a field of wild flowers. There are notes of summer forest, raspberries and cherries. “Very graceful and restrained style,” says Lindsay Groves. “A lighter more airy style that is perfect for summer drinking.” Fresh acidity and smooth tannins underlie beautifully ripe fruit and a gentle smokiness. The finish is complex and lingering. The kwäf Taste Buds are right on the borderline of 90 points with this one. A fantastic wine and a wonderful example of great value in Ontario Cabernet Franc.
