Shipping

How is my wine shipped and how will I know when it is coming?

All orders are shipped in discreet packaging via Canada Post Expedited Parcel, unless otherwise indicated. Once your order has left our facility, it is typically 2-5 business days until time of delivery. Some rural and remote locations can take longer to arrive. An email with your tracking number will be sent as soon as your order goes out, and you can track the status of your package on the Canada Post website.

What happens if I'm not home to receive the package?

If you or someone over the age of majority in your province is not available to sign for the package at the time of delivery, your carrier will leave you a notice card indicating the closest Canada Post office where you can pick up your package. You will need government issued ID and/or a proof of address in order to claim your order (as per Canada Post regulations). Canada Post will hold your package for you up to 15 business days before it is returned to us.

I want to order a ClubK or Discovery Pack plus one or two bottle(s) of wine, why am I being charged shipping?

Your ClubK or Discovery Pack is a single product that includes the cost of shipping and handling, and does not count towards your 6-bottle total to qualify for free shipping. That single bottle ships in a box all on its lonesome so is subject to our standard shipping charges.

ClubK Subscription

When I join the club, am I signed up for ongoing shipments?

The ClubK Subscription works the same as any other subscription service (think magazine, newspaper, etc.) You will be automatically billed every three months for each box about one week prior to shipping. We always send out a reminder before each box ships so you have the opportunity to skip, cancel or update your information up to 2 business days before the payment is processed.

Am I locked in for a whole year?

Nope! You can cancel your subscription at any time, penalty-free. We do ask that you cancel at least 2 business days prior to the next shipment charge. We always send out an email reminder beforehand so you have time to make a decision. Once a season's order has been processed, we cannot cancel your current order. Any cancellation requests sent after a seasonal order has been processed will be applied to your account going forward.

I love ClubK and want to send one to my friend/colleague/family member as a gift! Do I have to sign up for the subscription or can I buy just one shipment?

We always want to do what we can to help spread the wine happiness! Single shipments of each season's box are made available for purchasing as one-time gifts. We usually call them Discovery Packs, and will let you know as soon as they are posted on our store via our email newsletter. If you choose to order the ClubK Subscription for your gift recipient, please keep in mind that you will be automatically billed for the next shipment unless you cancel at least 2 business days before the order is processed.

I'm not sure if I like surprises. Can I find out what the wines are before I make a decision?

The heart of ClubK is rooted in discovery—of new wines, styles and wineries that you may have never heard of or tried before (or some you might think you don't like)! Every season brings a new adventure so we try to stay true to that philosophy and not spoil the surprise for you. We will sometimes post a sneak peek to our blog or social channels but you won't be given a full list of wines before they ship. We ask you to keep an open mind (and palate!) Not all wines are for everyone but we stand by our 100% Happiness Guarantee.

What's the difference between kwäf Exclusives and the LCBO Sale Picks you post on your site?

We post the LCBO Sale Picks just for fun and to spread some love. Everyone likes a hot tip on good wine. We post a new LCBO Sale Pick every week.

Our kwäf Exclusives are a brand new and really cool way to get good wine. Once our team of kwäf Taste Buds identify a good wine, we make sure we can get it at a sweet price. (Not just a buck or two off, but a bunch of bucks off!) You won’t find these wines at the LCBO. You order from us online, and we deliver to your door. Simple.

Can I buy kwäf Exclusives at the LCBO?

No, kwäf Exclusives are not available at the LCBO. kwäf works directly with each winery to create a limited time offer for you.


What does shipping cost?

Shipping is free for six bottles or more, and $12.95 plus tax otherwise. We think it's a great deal. Shipping premiums may apply in parts of Central and Northern Ontario.


Can I buy one bottle of wine if I want?

Yes! You can buy as many bottles as you want. kwäf is committed to making wine shopping as fun and easy as wine drinking.


How fast will the wine be delivered to me?

Once you order the wine, it will arrive within ten business days - or sooner.


How is the wine delivered?

The wine is shipped by Canada Post Expedited Service. When your wine is shipped from the winery, you will receive an email with a tracking code. 

If you're not home to receive delivery, Canada Post will leave a notice for you to pickup your wine and your nearest Canada Post outlet (typically very closeby).

Can I schedule a preferred delivery time?

No. But with your tracking code you'll be able to anticipate when your wine will arrive. Please bear in mind, someone 19 years of age or older must sign for the delivery (government regulations).


What if my bottle arrives broken or a wine is spoiled?
