Konzelmann Estate Winery has an interesting and long history in Canadian viticulture. Friederich Konzelmann established his family restaurant and winery in Germany in 1893. Current proprietor, Herbert Konzelmann, took over the operation in 1958. Herbert continued to increase production and profitability soon reaching the capacity of the winery.

On a vacation to Canada in the 1980's, Herbert discovered the Niagara region and purchased a peach orchard. Ignoring his critics, he re-planted the orchard to a vineyard. At the time, Herbert had established the 7th winery in the area, making Konzelmann one of the pioneers of Canadian viticulture. The next generation of Konzelmann is now ready to take the reigns as Herbert's grandson, Fabian Reis, is part of the production team. 

We are featuring the 2017 Merlot-Shiraz Reserve, a super limited release, with only 175 cases produced! This beautiful bottle can be enjoyed today, or reserve for a special occasion years from now. We are enjoying this bold blend with the cooler evenings and fall flavours.
