Why we're drinking this
It’s under ten bucks! Plus, Fetzer is a legend in California for promoting sustainable practices while making quintessentially “Californian” wines. In this case, that means a pure, super-clean Chardonnay with vibrant and precise fruit notes. Restrained alcohol—just 13%, which is low by Cali standards—makes this easy on the palate and head. It’s quite light and lovely in the mouth. We like it! (By the way, this wine makes it onto a lot of top value lists by wine critics.)
Tasting note
California is all about precision, and this wine delivers laser-focused fresh apple, floral elements, and hints of mango and pear. But it ain’t no fruit cup—this has some lovely zest and acid to keep it lively. Great sipper, also good with light summer bites. Stock up while it’s cheap!
