Why we're drinking this
Because it’s bloody hot out and Prosecco is best served bloody cold. So it works, you see? You don’t have to think about it. That’s the best thing about Prosecco. It is what it is, and what it is … is… a simple, easygoing refreshing white wine that sparkles. It’s got no ambitions — don’t let anyone tell you it’s an inexpensive Champagne. It’s nowhere near that league. But when it’s well made, as this one is, it does the job of adding just a titch of specialness to a hot summer day (or night).

Tasting note
Light weight but with some sugar content — 16 g per litre — that gives it a bit of heft in the mouth. It has some texture, which is rare for Presecco. Let’s be honest, most Prosecco is pretty banal. The grape is Glera, and it’s no rock star. But it does make a nice, zippy bit of bubbly. You’ll get a little pear, some citrus, maybe apple, and vanilla. It’s clean enough for casual sipping and has the body to go with some light summer nibbles. Good price too.
