Kick the Dirt with an Ontario Grower

Every year in July, we take the time to celebrate the wonderful world of Cool Climate Chardonnay. Over an exciting weekend chock full of events, tastings, and exceptional wine experiences, we learn so much about Ontario's impact on the wine world. The weekend we're talking about is i4C—the International Cool Climate Chardonnay Celebration! There is so much to learn and see over this 3 day even in Niagara, that we keep a countdown on our calendar!

Kick the Dirt

One of our favourite events—and the one we often recommend—is 'Kick the Dirt'. It's a really fun experience where you get to quite literally kick up some dirt in a vineyard and get inside information from a local Niagara grower. In this rare opportunity, you follow along the "grape-to-glass" journey and get a whole new perspective on the contents of the bottles in your cellar. Chat with winemakers, growers, and fellow-wine enthusiasts as you take in the beautiful Niagara scenery and wander amongst the vines.

Event Schedule:

12:30 p.m. – KICK THE DIRT shuttle departs from the main parking lot at Niagara College: 135 Taylor Road, Niagara-On-The-Lake

4:30 p.m. – Return to Niagara College main parking lot

Tickets are $90 and each ticket includes a guided bus tour, a visit at one of Niagara’s premier vineyards with a wine and food pairing, and a guided winery tour before returning to Niagara College.

You can purchase tickets here: https://www.coolchardonnay.org/page-schedule/kick-the-dirt/

We hope to see you there! Cheers!
