Ravine Vineyards in Niagara is producing some of Canada’s most expressive wines, with a particular focus on Chardonnay. Sommelier Lindsay Groves rates the 2013 Estate Chardonnay 91 points and hones in on “notes of melted butter and pastry, brimming with fruit and a masculine style and structure.” Sommelier Zoltan Szabo scores the wine at 92 points. He describes it as “crisp with great length, a connoisseur’s Chardonnay.”

With the holiday season around the corner and falling temperatures, the Ravine 2013 Estate Chardonnay is the perfect match for a wide variety of roasted birds, pork or veggies. This wine is made for food and is remarkably versatile. Experimentation is in order.
