  Why we're drinking this
  Based in the heart of the diverse and world-class Sonoma County region in northern California, Lake Sonoma Winery was founded in 1977. The property was recently purchased by the Stewart family, of Quails’ Gate fame in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. The focus for Lake Sonoma is on varietal wines sourced from the premium sub-zones best suited to those grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alexander Valley, Zinfandel from the Dry Creek Valley, Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley and Sauvignon Blanc from the Sonoma Valley. The wines are complex, elegant and supremely structured offering a wonderful and delicious look into Sonoma’s distinctive sub-zones and the quality wines that they produce.

  Tasting Note
  This classic Chardonnay expresses the best of the Russian River Valley appellation with aromas of lemon cream pie and vanilla with lingering flavors of tropical fruit and well integrated, toasted oak followed by a crisp yet rich finish.
